On the Dotted Line

Well, my debut novel is officially out in the world!

It’s been a lot of work and by the end, I was so sick of reading and rereading and editing that I was sure I’d never ever read it again. Even after all that, it isn’t perfect. No work ever is. But this story was in my brain for four years, and now that it’s out and the story is finished, I’m happy to release it into the wild and let it become something to someone else.

Without Dani and Ronan, I wouldn’t be a published author! So I guess I owe my thanks to my main characters for bugging me all these years. Writing is hard, but it was Dani’s quirky personality that made writing this story so much fun for me. Writing her was a step outside of my comfort zone, because I usually write more moody characters, and I’m happy with how her bubbly nature transferred to the page.

The dedication page didn’t make it into the book, so I wanted to put it here. Writing has been something intrinsic and instinctual for me, but as passionate as I am about it and always have been, I never allowed myself to believe I could publish anything or even let anyone read something I’d read. I dreamed of being a writer with all my heart, but lacked the confidence to go for it.

So I dedicate me going for it to my dad, because I think I get those big dream tendencies from him. He was a man who jumped from one dream to the next, one big idea taking hold of him after another. Some of those he accomplished, most of those he didn’t. He would’ve been really proud of me for publishing a book, and it’s dedicated to him and all the dreams he had that didn’t pan out.

I hope you guys love the book! The paperback is available on Amazon, and the ebook will be coming soon.

Happy Reading,
